Ref is irmatov who lets the boys plays. 4 World Cup 2010 games and just 11 YC total, no reds, no penalties. In 8 asian World Cup qualifiers just 18 YC, no red, no penalty. So in his last 12 international matches he's awarded no penalty, no red card, and just 2.4 yellow cards per game and NEVER handed out 5+ in any of these 12 matches!

I expect he will be very reluctant to hand out cards and risk the winning team missing players for the final. It's not his MO to become the focus of a match and I doubt that changes in a World Cup semifinal

looks ok, the only concern is if it's a blowout and the losers throw caution to the wind at the end.

bol man.

I tend to concur, although i've noticed some other opinions:

"With yellow cards being wiped and only a red card meaning you'd miss the final I think there could be a few cards in this one as Uruguay players try and stop the pace of the Dutch attack. They'll do anything to stay in the World Cup, someone may even do 'a Suarez'."

----------------

"I'd have to agree here. This is a game where both sides have everything to gain and nothing to lose. Besides, uruguay has shown in the match against ghana that they would do whatever it takes to get to the next round, even if it is as crazy as to gamble on a penalty. Adding to that, the fact that only a red card would mean missing the finals, there really isn't anything to lose - I expect Uruguay to go all out in this match. Remember that a few of the Uruguayan players today are substitutes: if they make it to the finals, it will be Lugarno, Suarez, etc who are coming back on. This being said, I predict that there would be a huge amount of bookings."

Good point X.
I forgot that all the yellows will be wiped clean for this match.
It's a no play for me.

this prop has been all over the place so far at my book, it opened at 4.5 -130ish and got bet up to move it to over under 5 yellow cards with the juice on under, now its back to 4 1/2 and juice on under. I personally think the game will be testy, espically if there is a goal, add to the fact that yellows are wiped clean, more incentive for players to take chances in my mind. probably just best to avoid

of course 5th yellow given in 94th minute when only 3' of stoppage were given

not to mention was given for time wasting which isn't even what van bommel was doing. he was playing guy down right side when whistle blew late for a foul.

i give up

i dont think he blew the whistle for the game to end, he blew it for a foul and the yellow card was given for kicking the ball away (aka delay), the player thought the game might have been over and so did some on the sidelines, but i dont think that was the whistle intent. as u stated above they went on to play for some time after the yellow. the goal in injury time always ends up extending the game and if the losing team is attacking the game always extends until the attack is stopped or tieing goal

the uzbeki ref put his hand up and blew the whistle twice...look around the pitch...everyone on holland was walking off cheering xcept fer van bommel getting a ridiculous yellow....the end of that game was sketchy...but whatever...holland won...that's all that matters

Bad luck with that card so late in the game. From what i've seen of these
type of wagers on a refs' tendencies they have been doing well in the WC.

IMO over time you will win a lot more of these than lose, and he did hold
true to form in the no penalty no red betting markets.

I think Spain Germany has a better chance of going under the 4 1/2 tomorrow.

well, being that this game went over 4.5 i'd have to agree with you

ref for spain match is Viktor Kassai and this will be his 4th WC match of 2010. He did the US/Ghana match which saw the penalty against Dempsey along with 5 YC.

His other two games produced 2 YC, no reds, no penalties

He did 4 qualifiers and they produced just 11 YC, no reds, no penalties.

IN UEFA CL play last year he gave out one red in 5 matches, no penalties, 17 YC

clearly FIFA is looking for the refs that give out the least amount of penalties and cards (nothing he could do about Dempsey penalty) in the semifinals.

Got completely fucked in Uruguay match but this under 4.5 looks decent as well.

do what you want, I'll just post the info since you guys wouldn't know where to find it anyway and, after Saturday, you'll not see the RX Soccer forum again for 4 years
